Musketeers

ATTENTION DIABLO MEMBERS: Do you have children or grandchildren who are ages 8-18? Do you want them to learn how to shoot safely? We are the California Musketeers and we are here for your kids.

We provide a safe shooting arena at the MPR one or two Sunday afternoons per month. Beginners and experienced shooters alike are taught gun safety and range safety rules. In addition they are set up with .22 rifles and knowledgeable coaches. There is no pressure to “succeed.” Our motto is “Safety First, Fun Second, Accuracy Third.”

We teach 4-Position Rifle and Bench-Rest Rifle. For those more experienced, - and only with parents’ permission - .22 handguns. Bullseye paper targets are used, and we frequently set up metallic swingers.

Ammunition and targets are provided and juniors ages 8-18 shoot for free. Parents and grandparents are welcome to shoot with us, but are charged $7. I’m sure you’ll understand that if the range is full, priority goes to the kids.

When shooters are ready we introduce them to the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program, which rewards individual achievement with patches, medals and certificates. (This is not a competition between shooters.)

If you’re looking for a fun, safe way to spend 2 or 3 hours, come check us out. Contact Michael Pass at  or Byron Montague.
