2010 DIABLO SILHOUETTE SCHEDULE
ABOUT SILHOUETTES at USI
Diablo sponsors 10 sanctioned NRA Silhouette Events on the USI Multi Purpose Range. Most are held on a regular schedule. As an example: Smallbore Rifle is monthly on the 1st sat at 9am. Air Gun is monthly, but at 1300 on either the 3rd Sat or Sun. Some are Bi Monthly like Small Bore Hunter on the 1st sun 9am in Jan, Mar, May etc (Odd Months). One match, the Long Range Pistol – Low Power Rifle is roughly every 3 months.
The 2010 U.S.I. MULTIPURPOSE RANGE SCHEDULE is the BIBLE, it lists all activities on the MP Range for all 5 club’s (including Diablo’s various silhouettes) for the entire year. Note: events either start at 9am or 1300. The schedule is full and can have events both in the morning and at 1300. For Information: Call 925 676-1963 or John Labash MP Director 925 709-9199.
Silhouette Matches are $6 and most are open to both rifle and pistol. Usually, Diablo allows both pistol or rifle offhand or from the bench (Varmint Class). Many clubs shoot only rifle or pistol, and NRA has a different name and rules for the pistol event vs. the rifle event at the same distance. IHMSA – International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association - sponsors only pistol events and some of the rules are different but IHMSA shooters are welcome. For example, IHMSA starts everyone at chickens whereas; NRA starts all 4 animals at once with 4 shooters at 4 firing points.
